About Shri Ramlalla Gurukulam Vaidik Pathshala

Revitalizing the Eternal Flame of Vedic Wisdom & Guru-Shishya Tradition

Gurukul is a traditional form of India’s indigenous education system that is committed to the all-round development of learners. As long as the Gurukul-based education system flourished in India, the country remained a leading nation in the world. For thousands of years, India continued to provide educational and cultural guidance to the entire world. Students from across the globe came to India to study at renowned Gurukuls such as **Nalanda, Takshashila, and Vikramashila**. Gurukul is a **residential system of education**. The daily routine, as well as teaching and learning activities, begins with waking up in the morning and continues until bedtime at night, all carried out under the guidance and supervision of the Acharyas (teachers). Gurukul places strong emphasis on **practical education**. The Guru (Acharya) serves as a role model for the students. Rather than learning solely from books, students acquire educational, moral, and ethical knowledge by observing and following the environment and the conduct of their Acharyas. Gurukul is an educational system rooted in the **Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition**, situated amidst nature. It fosters a close and affectionate relationship between the Guru and the Shishya. Gurukuls have traditionally been **community-supported educational institutions**. In earlier times, society would donate one-tenth of its income to Gurukuls, which enabled thousands of such institutions to function across India. The entire society, including the ruling authorities, held Gurukuls and their Acharyas in great respect and reverence. Gurukul education does not promote or favor any particular ideology or social class. Rather, it is an educational system that is **equally accessible and naturally suited to the entire society and people from every section of it**.
